NEW RAYCO FORESTRY MULCHER AND HYDRA-STUMPER

Morbark, LLC, has debuted the powerful and versatile Rayco T415 Forestry Machine. Perfect for land-clearing companies, construction companies, pipeline contractors, electric utility contractors, and real estate developers, the T415 allows customers to change between a Predator forestry mower/mulcher head and a Hydra Stumper stump cutter attachment for optimal versatility.

Powered by a 415-hp CAT C9.3B Diesel Tier 4 Final engine, the T415 boasts a closed-loop hydrostatic system to power the mulcher or cutter head, sending 140 gallons per minute to the attachment’s drive motor(s). The hydraulic output is power-optimized to match the engine’s power curve, keeping the mulcher/ stumper RPM constant even under load for a finer mulched product with fewer passes. As the engine RPM pulls down under load, pump displacement increases to maintain the 140-gpm flow. The operator feels more power at the cutter head over a broader engine RPM band.

PRO-MÉTAL PLUS, SÄÄTÖTULI CANADA CO-DEVELOPING BOILERS

Pro-Métal Plus and Säätötuli Canada will be co-developing a range of biomass boilers for the North American market. The two companies will pool their knowhows to create hot water biomass boilers adapted for the Säätötuli multi-fuel biomass burner technology. This Finnish technology has been successfully used and proven for more than 30 years in the rigorous polar winter conditions of Northern Europe. Future boilers will be manufactured by Pro-Métal Plus at their Deschambault, Que., factory in the region of Portneuf.

The new boiler range manufactured in Portneuf by Pro-Métal Plus will be a good fit for institutional, commercial, industrial and agricultural building heating, as well as heat networks.

CLOSED LOOP, CARBON CAPTURE BIOMASS ELIMINATION SYSTEM

Prairie Creek Energy Services’ Air Curtain Carbonizer is a closed-loop, carbon capture waste (or biomass) elimination system. It operates on advanced principles and processes to be the most cost-effective, environment-friendly, portable wood waste combustion system on the market.

The portable equipment provides a secure and safe environment in which the combustion of wood and other types of waste occur, utilizing the wood and other combustible waste streams as its own fuel source. The elevated com bustion chamber, above chamber air curtain, and pre-heated under-fire air, increase combustion efficiency. There is no smoke when burning (only when the air curtain is pierced); all the smoke and ash is kept in the carbonizer with the air curtain creating a vortex that reaches heats of 2,500 F. This Enviro Saver is the most cost and environmentally effective way for customers to eliminate their wood and other applicable waste materials.

BANDIT OFFERS REMOTE CONTROLLED KESLA LOADERS

Bandit now offers extending Kesla loaders with radio remote controls on its Intimidator 21XP hand-fed chippers, giving land-clearing professionals, tree care companies and right-of-way contractors a powerful all-in-one tool to dispose of limbs and even whole trees. The Kesla loader can extend to 21 feet and grab large bundles of limbs, large individual limbs, and even downed whole trees. Using intuitive controls, the operator can guide the material quickly into the chipper to be processed in a fraction of the time it would take operators to winch. When not in use, the Kelsa loader folds up on the front of the chipper where it’s out of the way, never impeding the discharge chute or limiting access to common maintenance items.

PETERSON INTRODUCES ITS LIGHTEST HORIZONTAL GRINDER

Heavy duty and mobile, the new 1700D Horizontal Grinder from Peterson can readily reduce a wide range of materials. The 1700D’s large feed opening measures 54x27 inches. When boosted by Peterson’s high-lift feed roll, the feed opening’s maximum lift of 41.5 inches can tackle the largest of feedstock, and allows excellent accessibility to the rotor for maintenance. The 1700D Horizontal Grinder is equipped with a Caterpillar Tier IV C9.3 455-hp engine, or an optional, export-only C9 Tier III, 350-hp engine. At 41,000 pounds, it is the lightest of Peterson’s grinder series, and is easily transportable. Peterson’s Adaptive Control System, featuring a fully adjustable feed system, is optimized for a wide range of materials.

FLAMEX INTRODUCES NEW INFRARED DETECTOR SERIES

The new YMX 5000 Detector series from Flamex represents a unique and technologically advanced generation of infrared spark and flame sensors for industrial applications. An industry exclusive self-monitoring optics feature provides “through the lens” testing for each detector in real time to immediately alert the user of a reduction of detector capability caused by damage or lens contamination. Wiring requirements are minimized by the new design, which allow up to three remote sensors to connect to a field mounted Control Unit. The Control Unit offers a retrievable lifetime memory function and provides external LEDs to indicate the functional status of each detector.

JOHN DEERE REVEALS NEW L-SERIES UTILITY WHEEL LOADERS

After much anticipation and countless hours of product development, John Deere unveils three powerful and productive L-Series utility wheel loaders. The 524L, 544L and 624L offer customers an intuitive solution, ideal for projects that require agility and versatility on the job site or farm. Designed with the operator in mind, the L-Series machines incorporate several new features, including improved cabs for more comfort and visibility, electrohydraulic (EH) loader controls for easier operation and redesigned near-parallel linkage, and enhanced performance buckets. The most notable of changes to the L-Series from their K-Series predecessors is the improved cab, which is roomier and more comfortable, offering more functional storage and floor space. Behind the wheel, EH loader controls with integrated third and fourth function auxiliary hydraulics provide faster cycle times, resulting in more material moved in shorter periods of time.
